The annual creative dance performance is the jewel in the crown of the kids’ dance experience. For those from five up, Term four is focused on getting the show on the road and the kids thrive in an atmosphere of eager anticipation. The production is completed in ten weeks!
Each performance tells a story. Many are well known and some are original, but all are adapted (sometimes significantly) by Alison to give all the dancers a chance to shine.
Kumbada performances have been staged at the Mahon Theatre, Aquinas College, Great Ryrie St East Ringwood every December since 1995 with Alison anchoring the show as narrator and a crew of parental volunteers working backstage. There are two evening performances and a DVD is available for sale to record the event.
